Session News

2007

Thanks for tuning back in - as you can tell, this site is updated weakly, very weakly....

Not because we're slackers, it's because ZAC has been slammed making records......

In the First Quarter of '07 we were hosting:

Universal Records: Lloyd in tracking new beats with ATL's ShoNuff production crew along with noted engineer, Nico Solis. Also mixing the single 'Valentine' Wirlie Morris producing with mixer, Sam 'I Am' Thomas twisting the knobs. Universal's, Q, used the production talents of Drumma Boi, Blackround, Justice League and Teddy Bishop to slam out the jams with engineer, Corey Stocker.

J Records: The Clutch produced a track for Mario. Engineered by Corey Stocker. Label mate, One Chance tracking with producer, Rodney Jerkins, engineered by Tito Vazquez. J Records kept 'em coming with Brian Michael Cox slamming out a new remix for artist, Joe. Engineering duties shared by Sam Thomas and Carlton Lynn.

Atlanta's own legendary blues guitar slinger, Tinsley Ellis, chose Stonehenge and long time engineer pal, JimZ for the third time in a row to record his latest set, Moment of Truth, his first release upon returning to Alligator Records. Tins and JimZ first met recording the '86 'Cool On It' release for Alligator with producer, Eddy Offord. Teaming up again with Offord and Z for 2002 release of 'Hell or Highwater' on Telarc. Tins self produced his last obligation with Telarc on the 2004 smoker, 'The Hard Way' with Z behind the board. JimZ says 'this is our most rock solid record yet, and ya gotta see Tinsley live!!!!" http://www.tinsleyellis.com/

Atlantic Records: debut artist, Crystal G in tracking with producer, Jasper. Engineered by Corey Stocker and Corey Shoemaker. Another new comer, Winter took over Stonehenge with ATL's Grammy winning producer, Brian Micheal Cox tracking a bunch of cuts for the debut release. Flo Rida soaking up several days of tracking with producer, Jason Pittman. Juvenile camped out to self produce a new batch of tracks with engineer, Corey Stocker.

Island Def Jam's, USDA mixed this new release in Stonehenge with mixer, Tony Rey. Produced with Jeezy and DJ Speedy, assisted by Corey Shoemaker.

Usher finished out the quarter by taking over the entire ZAC complex !!! Philly based producers, Vidal and Dre camped in Stonehenge with engineer, Vinnie DeLorenzo while also overseeing the various producers including Dante, Static, Raheem DeVaughn, and Fatin who worked their tracks in the ZAC A and Upstairs control rooms. The engineering duties were handled by the ZAC family of console jockeys - Tony Terrebonne, Corey Stocker, JJ Penders, Corey Shoemaker and Vince Alexander. JimZ would like to thank Usher for keeping it in the family - we all remember that first record we made in Studio LaCoco and we are proud to be a part of your continued world wide success!

Polow da Don tracking a bunch of stuff for Interscope Records including Young Buck, Jibbs, RichBoy, Chamillionare, Sean Paul and Keri Hilson. Engineered by Tony Terrebonne and assisted by Corey Shoemaker.

Since May, Polow da Don has set up shop here at ZAC to mastermind and produce this years batch of hits. The decision makers at Interscope Records noticed the Stonehenge inspired hits - 'Pimpin' All Over the World' by Ludacris, 'Superstar' by Keyshia Cole, 'London Bridge' and 'Glamorous' by Fergie ,'Throw Some D's', 'Boy Looka Here' by Rich Boy, 'Shake It' by Mya 'Promise' and 'Bang it Up' by Ciara, 'Get Buck' by Young Buck, "DJ Play a Love Song" by Jamie Foxx, 'Next' by Gia Farrell, 'Ringtone' by R.
